Stephen Jones' parents got married and joined the Church in 1979 in the southern United States, and both decisions were met with some disdain. Whether it was weakness, preconceived notions, or the law, they held onto the Book of Mormon, and looking to their faith, Stephen learned to turn to the book too.
Stephen first read the Book of Mormon in the 1990's at age twelve, after being baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at age eight.

2nd Nephi is so valuable. He has just lost his Dad and his brothers and family. It’s why he feels so low in that chapter. The devil kicks us when we are down. He was cursed to the ground, it’s the only time he can reach us. But grabbing hold of Jesus brings us back up. Great testimony man. Thanks ❤️🙏🙌

Thank you for sharing your testimony of the love that Jesus Christ has for all of us. I struggled with reading too. My eyes jump. It got really frustrating as a kid. Now I listen to the Book of Mormon daily through the app. It is such a wonderful thing to me. I gain so much just listening. When a verse hits me I pause it and highlight and make notes on what that verse meant to me. That love that is there for all of us is so tangible and you can feel it. 🙏❤️
